About Us

LSDA, Library Services for Dementia/Alzheimer's

About
The Library Services for Dementia/Alzheimer's (LSDA) is under the umbrella of the Office for Diversity and Literacy Outreach Services (ODLOS) which is a division of the American Library Association (ALA).

Purpose
LSDA's purpose is to create, disseminate, and implement guidelines for library services to people with Alzheimer's and related dementias. The International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) has already established such guidelines and they can readily be adapted for use in the United States and are eager for other countries to establish such guidelines.
